The School Group/Norton Option

The school group provides alternative education for Y10 and Y11 pupils from The Norton School who are at risk of permanent exclusion. This programme is tailored to suit the individual learning needs of the young people whilst identifying barriers perceived or real that are preventing them from accessing mainstream educational opportunities available to them. This scheme offers accreditation opportunities such as ASDAN, CoPE, Edexcel and OCN. The current Year 11 as of July 2008 left with the following qualifications Sports Leaders UK Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership ASDAN Bronze Award TROCN Level II Basic Drugs Awareness for Young People Heart Start UK - Emergency Life Support
