Critical Reflection of Positive Futures Stockton's 2009/10 report
Critical reflection on report:
Stockton Positive Futures have presented a strong report which identifies their ability to provide a good level of open access provision in the Stockton area. The project has worked with relatively high levels of participants and over 55% of these participants are currently attending.
The average contact hours of 31 is positive as is their increase in female participation rates which currently stand at 27%. The project have also noted their wish to increase the female participation rate further through the provision of more female centred activities.
There was an excellent quality of data presented with 100% of ages, ethnic groups and referral data being recorded. The large proportion of young people accessing the activities via self-referral routes demonstrates excellent levels of open-access provision.
The impact of the work carried out by Stockton was well represented through the use of a variety of tools within the SPRS. The high number of recorded outcomes is particularly encouraging although some streamlining and condensing of category themes could help demonstrate the key impact areas.
