Creating windows of opportunity for young people
A group of young people from Norton Grange, who attend the Corner House Youth Project Drop In at Norton Grange Community Resource Centre have recently received a Crime Concern Presidents Award commendation for their volunteering in the local community.
The young people were nominated by their Youth Worker Christine Pratt for giving up their spare time to plant hawthorn hedgerow and wild flowers in their local nature reserve, this was organised by Stockton Council’s Park and Countryside staff and for planting flower beds outside their estate’s Community Resource Centre, funded through the housing providers on the estate.
Two representatives from the group visited
