Creating windows of opportunity for young people
The half term activities went down a treat here at the Corner House! The young people got to be a part of a DJ workshop with MC Banks, play Grahams Games and even attend a Spooks 'n' Ghouls party! And what a party it was! The young people were dressed as vampires, dead school girls, zombies, right through to witches and devils! The night was a huge success and everyone had lots of fun with tricks and treats throughout the evening. Towards the end of the week, in our Cafe 66 some staff played Ready Steady Cook, whilst the young people picked the winners. Graham went against Jeanne, both making Lasagne like Delia Smith and Gordon Ramsey! And Natalie went against Jacky with Chocolate cake surprises, marshmallows and smarties everywhere! This pulled in the biggest crowed the Corner House has seen in a long time, we hope everyone involved had a great day! On the Friday some of our young people went Quad Biking, whilst others went to Diggerland. All of the young people involved said they had a great day, quad biking was a huge success, and Diggerland was a fab day. One young person said "I don't want to go home, it's too good!"
